As you can see all the white spots are now gone. We used a tool called the clone stamping tool that took parts from the photo a reproduced it to fill the holes. For example there is a big white hold in the right should of the woman the clone stamp allows you to copy the color of the blue and fill it in where the while hole was. Pretty neat huh?

Playing the field with Photoshop
We braved new territory the other day by learning a few things with photoshop. Below you will see the original photo we were provided and an edit of the same photo with the techniques we learned:
This is long overdue
While I managed to download a copy of CS5 to my MacBook it proved itself to be difficult to deal with when opening InDesign files from another location (ie. my flash drive) However, my next date with InDesign involved a little bit of color. A big shout out to my professor Elio and Ashley at the Apple Store for having the patience to teach me so many cool things about InDesign. I'm no professional but I have so much fun playing with this software. With color we learned about the difference between print and online color. The color family of RGB (red, green, blue) is light for online print. The color family of CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) is substances for print. Ashley at the Apple Store taught me how to add gradient to a shape to show off multiple colors.

My first date with InDesign
I wanted to experiment with different shapes and contrasts as if you could see them in a magazine ad or article. For example, the squares could be used as framework for an image. I wanted to experiment with repetition and different levels of opacity in the squares going down the side. I considered making it a border. I also tried out different outlines around the different shapes like the squares and circles.
